About Swedish Hasbeens Swedish Hasbeens take their style inspiration from the hip and swinging 1970s, but they give their wood-soled shoes and leather bags an eco-conscious, 21st century twist. After discovering a cache of clogs in a factory near Stockholm in 2006, Swedish Hasbeens started their business, determined to revive the free and irreverent but earth-conscious spirit of hippie fashion. In their view, a "Hasbeen" is tired of corporate branding, cookie-cutter trends, and endless marketing and instead embraces creativity and individual style. Swedish Hasbeens handcrafts their shoes using chrome-free, vegetable-tanned leathers and Swedish alder wood and lime-tree, harvested according to forest preservation guidelines. Their clogs—called "toffels"—are, above all, fun and designed to last a lifetime! As Swedish Hasbeens say, "That means our shoes will always be happy shoes, made by happy people, that help us make this planet a happier place." Ped is happy to share the Swedish Hasbeens happiness with you!
