Jeweler Debbie Fisher caught our eye many years ago with her meticulous beadwork and exotic color combinations. An Oklahoman turned New Yorker, Debbie draws inspiration from her frequent visits to the Metropolitan and Brooklyn museums' collections of ancient and ethnic art. Using stones like labradorite, aquamarine, tourmaline, opal, calcite, jade, coral, ruby, chrysoprase, and green onyx, combined with 18kt and 22kt handmade gold and silver beads from India and the northern hill tribes of Thailand - as well as African glass beads - Debbie creates eye-opening designs that are simple but utterly mesmerizing. Beautiful worn alone, all of her bracelets and necklaces look especially vibrant layered one upon another.
