Founded in 2006, Tamaki Niime began as an organic textile business with learning how to create shawls on a loom. As a child, Tamaki was always surrounded by fashion as a child as her parent's owned a boutique. Her passion for Banshu-ori at a textile exhibition sparked her idea for creating shawl designs with unique, hand woven textiles using her own yarns and dyes. Her intentions are always to create the softest shawls in the most beautiful, detailed oriented colors inspired by nature. Tamaki is always perfecting and improving her techniques which makes these passion projects a labor of love, one-of-a-kind heirlooms, just what we love too.
