What caught my eye with Ernesto's designs is the gorgeous, buttery Italian leathers, beautifully made clean designs, passion for details and simplicity of the Italian styling. The handmade quality, authenticity and craftsmanship is strongly apparent in Ernesto's designs. While he pays attention to contemporary arts and fashion trends, he keeps his eye on the old fashion techniques of classic Italian shoe making, what we love.
Based in Italy, La Bottega Di Lisa is a small family-operated shoe factory. Named after their late daughter, Lisa, they keep her spirit alive as she lives throughout their beautiful Italian styles. With a rich and storied history of shoe making, the Lupetti Family employs traditional Italian shoe-making techniques while focusing on the gorgeous small batch leathers they can find in Italy. Their search for the very best vegetable tanned leathers guarantees quality and longevity of their timeless styles. Unique hand staining techniques make their leather treatments gorgeous and one-of-a-kind! Made shoe by shoe, one at a time, each shoe has the soul of genuine Italian shoe making at it's finest. Ped is honored to be one of only a very few US retailers to offer La Bottega Di Lisa shoes.
MOMA = Midnight Over My Action, is a collaboration of Gigio and Daniele Gironacci. These native Italians offer a winning creative collaboration of traditional Italian designs with unusual leathers and cool treatments. Based in the Marche hills of Italy, the styles are inspired by the vibrant nature of their environments. Combining old craftsmanship and new leather techniques, comfort reigns and MOMA styles are timeless. We are thrilled to add MOMA to our carefully curated Ped collections!
Salzburg-born Simone and her Japanese husband Yuji are the beating heart of Rosa Mosa. Simone and Yuji buys exclusively from local suppliers and artisans in their native Austria and also work intimately with small-batch leather tanneries from Italy. Each Rosa Mosa creation strives for the perfect zen balance of craftsmanship and creativity. Simone and Yuji met and began collaborations while studying Footwear and Accessory design at the Cordwainers college in London England. Together in business and with love, Simone and Yuji create whimsical handmade shoes and accessories that blend unique styling, comfort and with a little playful humor. Made with love and the best intentions all the way from Austria!
