Staying connected is so much easier than it used to be, Ped fans! Remember the days before email and smartphones, when the big deal was peel-and-stick postage stamps? Ancient history! These days whether you like to Tweet, Pin, share your status, browse through photos, or simply send an email (or perhaps all of the above, you tech-savvy sisters), it’s a cinch to socialize, and Ped is ready to hobnob and chitchat!
Below are just a few of the ways you can keep abreast of all things Ped—including flash sales and weekly specials— so you won’t miss a stylish step!
Lots of you have “liked” Ped on Facebook, but there’s a secret you may not know: Even when you “like” a page, it doesn’t mean it will show up in your Newsfeed. Crazy, huh? (Facebook even picks which of your friends’ posts you get to see based on how you’ve interacted!)
What to do? Here’s what: Both “Like” and “Follow” Ped. (See the image below for which boxes to click). Next hover your cursor over the “Liked” box and make sure “Get Notifications” is checked. That way even if a Ped post doesn’t appear in your Newsfeed, you’ll still be notified when there’s something fresh to see on the Ped page! Never miss a Sweet Treat again!

Whenever we need a break or a jump start for creativity, we like getting lost among the lovely images on Pinterest. It’s another place where we announce specials and update the weekly Sweet Treat, so if Pinterest is your preferred Internet distraction, come follow us!

3. Twitter
If you like to keep your networking short and sweet (only 14o characters, ma’am), we also Tweet on Twitter @PedShoes. Follow us, and little blasts of Ped goodness will come your way.

We’re a little late to the picture party, but we’ve finally arrived on Instagram! Want to see more of Ella, Lulu, the world around Ped HQ, and Dayna’s travels? Then follow the photos at “pedshoes”:

We enjoy tumbling with tumblr because people post and re-post such fascinating things, plus the layout is big and beautiful! It’s yet another hub where you can follow Ped to find out what’s new!

Are you a renegade and firmly believe G+ will still be the next big thing? Well, Ped Shoes is also on the outpost and ready to be added to your circles:

Know of another site where we should park Ped, so you can come and visit? Let us know! We’ve also recently added links to Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, and Email to all of Ped’s pages and posts, so you can share and share alike! So many ways to be social these days! (Now, who’s making the cocktails?)

The best way to make any outfit pop? A fab pair of shoes, of course! The second best way? Consider an eye-opening scarf! The best news is it’s not an either/or choice—in fact, we highly recommend both/and, i.e. great shoes, boots, or sandals AND a sensational scarf!
With the mercury on the rise, we’ve stocked up on lightweight cotton and linen scarves for the summer season. They’re airy enough for daytime wear but also ward off the chill after the sun sets. Let’s take a look!
The sunniest of our many sunny scarves is Epice’s Girasole Scarf:

It’s as if Epice took the spirit of a bright June morning and wove it into soft cotton to yield this featherweight confection!
If you lean away from florals and more toward bold geometrics, Epice’s super-chic Moderno Scarf may have your name on it:

Perfect for you Ped fans who love all things black, this scarf, which is wide enough to wear as a shawl, is a luxe blend of cotton and linen! (But if you want a juicy dose of color, we also offer the Moderno in a vivid green, which I love!)
Another wrap that dazzles with geometric abstraction is Sophie Digard’s Dream Scarf:

Truly a work of art, this 100% linen scarf is absolutely mesmerizing with its spirals within squares and tiny flower-like suns, all laid out in successive horizontal bands of color along the length of the scarf! Fantastic!
One of the many reasons we love Sophie Digard is her sense of whimsy, which is on beautiful display in the Puzzle Scarf:

We particularly like the unusual edge created by the interlocking puzzle pieces’ shapes, as well as the little open windows scattered across this linen masterpiece! Get ready for a lot of scarf envy!
On days when even a light scarf might seem like too much to wear, you cans still put on the charms of Sophie Digard, by slipping her Petal Necklace around your neck:

A garland of fun! Each linen and velvet crocheted flower on the necklace has a split personality (in the best kind of way) since the back and front offer two different color schemes.
Of course, this is just a taste of our textile delights. There’s more lightweight loveliness to feast your eyes on over at Ped’s main site! Entwine your neck with an airy scarf or necklace, and wrap up your summer style!

Ped fans, today we invite you to get high—on sandals, people, on sandals!
For the final leg of our three-part tour through Ped’s strap-happy styles, we continue our ascent by sampling high heels and platforms! In short, it’s time to go tall!
When it comes to kicking things up a notch, Chie Mihara is the queen of adding height while keeping soles happy. Exhibit A: the Chie Mihara Alicante:

What a feast for your feet, from the green suede in back to the woven brown leather up front! And thanks to Chie’s understanding of ergonomics and anatomy, the 3.75″ heel is a treat for your dogs that will keep them from barking and whining, even after hours of walking!
Suede also plays a starring role in Chie Mihara’s well-named Amor! Buckle up and fall in love:

Ay dios mio! The Amor‘s heel is a statuesque 4″, but Chie’s signature footbed and the 1″ platform under the ball of your foot mean it’s a breeze to wear!
If you’re looking for a heel that’s a little less showy but still chic, perhaps the Chie Calenta could be your cup of tea:

This unusual lace-up is one of our personal favorites this season because it’s so versatile, plus the embossed black leather is gorgeous!
Of course, one of our favorite ways to add height without hurt is to step onto a platform, like Coclico’s Merin:

The leather is luscious, the cork is lightweight, and the look is urban without being pretentious! Best of all, because the platform slopes from 2.75″ in back to 1.25″ up front, the pitch comes in at an easy-peasy 1.5″.
Another Coclico wedge that’s won our hearts is the Mosaic:

Such sauciness! This femme fetale brings together the best of an ankle boot with the airiness of a summer sandal. We particularly like the little lip that rims the heel, which offers a little extra security and edge.
Fiorentini + Baker also works wonders with a cork wedge, as evidenced by the knockout Dany:

With attitude to spare, the Dany stops traffic with its be-studded brown suede that extends down over the the black leather-covered platform, which slopes from 3.5″ in back to 1.5″ up front. You don’t have to be a rock star to strut like one!
Finally, let’s again drink in the beauty of the Trippen Mikli, which we first oohed and aahed over in our post celebrating wood soles:

This show stopper is the skyscraper in Ped city, with its sculpted wooden wedge rising a full 4.5″ in back! The 1.5″ lift up front brings the pitch to 3″, and Trippen’s skill at sculpting the footbed to match your sole’s contours means the Mikli feels fantastic when you slide in and crisscross the ankle strap!
The Mikli also just happens to be our Sweet Treat this week, so you can rise and shine for 20% off by clicking “be sweet to your feet” at the bottom of the box on the left at Ped’s main site!
So ends our air-conditioned travels through the many sandals of Ped! We gave you the lay of the land from the flats to the heights, but we didn’t visit all the styles, so feel free to explore on your own at Ped! So many beautiful ways to let your toes play in the sun all summer long!
